Taylorsville, Kentucky

The Shepherd’s House - Kentucky is located in the beautiful hills of Taylorsville, Kentucky on 180 acres. The property is owned by the Noltemeyer family, who have used the space to serve pastors, enjoy family gatherings, and to serve the community of Taylorsville for two decades. We are thankful for our partnership with the Noltemeyer family, as this home was the beginning of the Shepherd’s House ministry.

The Shepherd’s House - Kentucky is available to be booked for a pastor or for a pastor and his wife for up to two nights at no cost! We do allow for larger groups to stay, but a fee is required. More information is provided on the Group Application.

For those interested, we do provide an opportunity for guests to spend time with a ministry mentor during their stay. Local pastors serve as volunteers for our ministry, and we intentionally pair our guests with a mentor who will come for a couple of hours with the purpose to listen and to encourage.

The three-story log cabin has twelve beds, two baths, a full kitchen, and a large dining table both inside and outside. There are over three miles of hiking trails and two stocked ponds. We keep the fridge and pantry stocked with breakfast and sandwich essentials, frozen meals, several snacks, coffee, tea, and several other items. There is a grill located outside and a fire pit for roasting smores!
